These dogs are neither "English" or Jack Russell Terriers. They are in fact Irish and a cross between Jack Russell Terriers and Dachsunds. They were first breed in Irland to KILL rats and other small animals. The Jack Russell Terrier should not be a "hard terrier" and should not kill it's quarry. In Great Britain these dogs have been accepted by the Britsh Kennel Club as a seperate breed of dog called the Russell Terrier. There is an application w/ the AKC to accept these dogs as a Russell Terrier in The United States. Andlin does not breed these dogs,provide stud service to them, or knowingly sell to anyone wishing to breed an Andlin terrier to one of these dogs.
